King Henry VIII edition by William Shakespeare Reference eBooks
The book was delivered just fine, no issues with the purchasing or anything like that, so I'll recommend it with 5 stars from that aspect. But from the critical angle, Henry VIII is a sh*t-show. The characters are all over the place, they do weird things that don't make any sense within the plotline, and it flails back & forth from pentameter to prose without warning - and with no real reason. Most people are of the opinion/in the know that Shakespeare didn't write this one entirely on his own, which is why it lacks continuity and his usual style in other plays. My own opinion is that it's such flaming propaganda (as is Richard III) that it can't be taken for anything other than pure entertainment - meaning, don't use this (or Richard III) as a credible historical source. BUT - if you can take it within the context of pure entertainment AND see it as an interesting case study for political @ss kissing, it's extremely interesting, and actually kinda fun at times... AND - I will say that my favorite character (as portrayed in this play) is wife #1, Katherine. Her monologues are really great and written very well. (Again, very likely NOT an accurate historical portrayal, but a solid character.)Anyway - Book - 5 stars. Buy it. But read with caution. If you're expecting Shakespeare's usual style, this is not the one for you... (But read it anyway.)

King Henry VIII edition by William Shakespeare Reference eBooks Reviews
AWESOME
Does a classic really need to be reviewed? I really love that I was able to get it on .
This is one of Shakespeare's timeless piece, available for free. Even though its free, the quality is not lacking in the slightest.
Item as described. Delivery as promised.
but this Shakespeare guy might catch on. I think it is his attempt at docudrama. The prologue states it is not like other histories. I DO WISH THE KINDLE VERSIONS WOULD ALSO SHOW THE PAGES WITH THE NOTATIONS ON THEM.
This from a dying man receive as certain Where you are liberal of your loves and counsels Be sure you be not loose; for those you make friends And give your hearts to, when they once perceive The least rub in your fortunes, fall away Like water from ye; never found again But where they mean to sink ye
Read this and have no idea what it's about, zero. Tons of words spelled oddly, story goes nowhere once you decipher it, boring. I bought and read this on a bet and absolutely regret it. Hope you appreciate it Squeegee !! I only did this for you...
